The master's degree in Data Science is an university full-time, one-year programme, taught fully in English and worth 60 ECTS credits. It is offered by the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and its lecturers belong to the four academic units which founded the school (UAB, UPF, IAE-CSIC, CREI).
The objective of the master's degree is to provide you with a wide and complete set of skills in three of the key dimensions for data scientists: computation, statistics, and economic and business foundations. You will acquire rigorous analytical training in quantitative techniques and computational methods and will have the solid foundation needed to conduct advanced data analyses. The master's degree aids you in becoming a professional data scientist, a person who contributes to the decision-making process efficiently and with the use of sophisticated techniques, both in the world of business and multinationals (in sectors such as large consumption, telecommunications, consultancy, engineering, banking, health and transport) and in the public and research sector.
